Summer Classes for 2011

Jump start for Latin II: This class is designed to help students prepare for the Latin II class in the fall. The class will cover the basics that are introduced in the Latin I class, including nouns, verbs, adjectives, and special verb uses like the passive voice and participles. The students will also enjoy some fun translations from the 38 Latin Stories reader that compliments Wheelock's. This class is perfect for students just beginning with Artesian Wells Tutorials, or for students who want to keep sharp over the summer. Prerequisite: Latin I or equivalent. 
 
Introduction to P.G. Wodehouse:  This summer is elective is perfectly suited to the summer. P.G. Wodehouse ranks as one of the English language's most delightful wordsmiths, and his short stories and novels have made generations of readers laugh. In this class, the students will be able to enjoy the unflappable Psmith (the "P" is silent), the aunt-stricken Bertie Wooster and his invaluable valet Jeeves, and some of the many stories of Mr. Mulliner, who has a surprising amount of relatives that inspire his endless tales. 

The summer classes will meet once a week during the month of July, from 7/7 to 7/28. 
 
Jump Start to Latin II: Thursdays, 8-10 AM Pacific Time
 
Introduction to P.G. Wodehouse: Thursdays, 10-12 Pacific Time
